Ashtanga Yoga : Intro to Power Yoga.........The discipline of ashtanga yoga ( Sri K Pattabhi Jois) has been one my greatest teachers.....the one that has taught me a lot about myself..This pratice always takes me out of my mind & back to the sacred place of my heart....Each time I step on my mat....I hear all the teachers before me, telling me...."practice, practice & all is coming".......with yoga ...all is possible....Primary series will be practiced with Terry's open heartedness to the practice.
Beginner's Meditation: Curious about meditation but never seem to take the time. Join Donna Carr as she shares with you from a library of great teachers and their guidance into this wonderful practice. Take Time to be quiet it is the opportunity to seek God.. Take Time to be aware -- it is the opportunity to help others...
Beginner’s Yoga: This class is great for the new student as well as those who have practiced a while but prefer a slower but still challenging class. Any and all new students to Yoga are welcome to attend. Class will focus on basic poses and conscious breathing techniques. Specific instruction is given on alignment and safety
Chair Yoga: This class is a great way to start your Yoga journey if flexibility or balance is an issue for you. We start this practice from a chair so no worries about getting down to the floor. We work on balance and strength all while feeling safe and secure. We utilize the use of a chair to take us into postures a little more deeply and build our confidence with the support of the chair and other props.
Restorative Yoga: A practice like not other. Be guided into the "letting go" process. This practice supports every joint in your body through the use of alot of props, creating the atmosphere and perfect opportunity to relax and practice "just Being"Come experience Letting GO....... and making more room for YOU!!
Senior Yoga : Yoga is for everyone at every age. It is about linking movement to breath to build strength and flexibilty, increase respiratory function and help decrease such issues as back pain, digestive distress and anxiety. The class will end with meditation to help quiet the mind and relax the body. The use of props, including chairs, straps and yoga blocks will help deepen poses as well as create a safe enviroment in which to practice the ancient tradition of Yoga.
Yoga for a Healthy Back: Whether you were diagnosed with Scoliosis, Lordosis, Kyphosis or Sciatic or just experience acute back pain, this class is for you as well as students who are looking to strengthen their backs. We will learn breath awareness to help open areas of the body and help ease some discomfort. We will learn different postures to help strengthen the back and bring or maintain flexibility.
Yoga Mix: This class is for those who would like to step their practice up a bit. Challenge themselves physically with in the teachings of Ahimsa (non violence) Class will include some sun salutations, holding of postures to build strength, and breath awareness to keep the body safe while moving through the postures.
Yogalates: NEW!! Looking for a different type of workout? Try Yogalates, a class that combines the meditational and flexibility benefits of yoga and the core strengthening benefits of Pilates. You will be exposed to both traditional yoga poses emphasizing the warming up of the breath, improving balance and flexibility along with sun salutations and transitioning into more intensive core exercises using Pilates techniques. This fusion is a perfect chance to try something new while you develop your mind, body and its' muscles.
